I have my doubts that we’ll pull this off - but I’ll start. How boner-riffic has Tommy Hunter been? From today’s Newberg Report:

Since Hunter joined the Rangers rotation for good on June 28, he leads the American League with a 1.97 ERA (over eight starts).

Repeat: Since June 28, Tommy Hunter leads the AL in ERA.

Back to my commentary - 8 starts is not a career, but it’s a bit more than a hot streak too. As any retarded redneck reading a box score will tell you — we need sum pitchin’! Well, look at this:

The Rangers lead the American League with eight shutouts. Are second in the league in team ERA (4.15). Have issued the third-fewest walks (360).

It may not end in playoffs, but try to appreciate what has happened here.

    Fun with Feliz:

    First batter – Chris Jiminez
    96 mph fastball – foul
78 mph curveball – called strike
98 mph fastball – called strike

    Second batter - Sizemore
93 mph fastball – called strike
    79 mph curveball foul
    97 mph fastball foul
    94 mph fastball ball
    78 mph curveball ball
87 mph fastball – swinging strike

    Third batter – Jamie Carroll
    94 mph fastball ball
    95 mph fastball called strike
    95 mph fastball foul
    80 mph curveball called strike

    That is pitching.

    Feliz stays for the 8th

    Cabrera
    93 mph fastball - Foul
    78 mph curveball - Ball
87 mph fastball (aka most people’s changeup) - foul
    97 mph fastball - ball
80 mph curveball - swinging strike

    Choo
    88 mph fastball - Foul
    79 mph curveball - Ball
    88 mph fastball - Ball
    97 mph fastball - Foul
99 mph cutter - swinging strike

    Peralta
    96 mph fastball - ball
    96 mph fastball - foul
    80 mph curveball - ball
    97 mph fastball - foul
98 mph fastball - grounder to short

From now on I am going to start referring to a boner as a “feliz”

  • Ioannis says:

Good hustle, good hustle. This sort of spirit is going to make this crappy alternative to an actual threaded forum work, somehow!

My question- When are they finally gonna GIT SUM PITCHIN’!?!?!?!

  • Ty says:

Cancer Boy vs. Old Man Millwood.

    Tonight only.

    Be there or be square.

  • Nick in Mallory says:

    Hey.

I’ve been thru Richland Hills many times. You don’t want their kind here.

    Just sayin’

    Nick
